Built for people who treat side income like a real strategy
Norswix began as a response to a simple frustration: gig work decisions were being made on instinct, not information. We set out to change that.
From spreadsheets to signal
Norswix was founded by a small group of gig economy operators who were tired of guessing which platform, shift pattern, or pricing move would actually pay off. Early versions of our approach were little more than shared spreadsheets and manual notes comparing outcomes across different gig work decisions.
Over time, that informal tracking grew into a more structured way of mapping decisions against outcomes — and eventually into the AI-driven platform Norswix is today. The goal never changed: give independent workers a clearer view of the trade-offs in front of them, before they commit their time.
Clearer decisions, steadier income
We exist to help people who rely on supplemental and gig income make better-informed choices — replacing guesswork with structured, risk-aware guidance that respects their time and their constraints.
The principles behind how we build
Clarity over noise
We favour straightforward, explainable guidance over complexity for its own sake. If a recommendation can't be explained simply, we don't ship it.
Risk-managed by default
Every feature is designed with downside in mind first. We'd rather flag a risk too early than let a user discover it too late.
Respect for independent work
We build for people managing their own schedules and income streams, not for a single employer's priorities. Our tools stay neutral.
Small, focused, and close to the work
Norswix is run by a compact team spanning product, data, and operations, with a shared background in gig and freelance work. We stay close to the people who use the platform, which keeps our priorities grounded in real decisions rather than abstract metrics.
We build in the open with our users
Feedback from active users shapes most of what we prioritise. Rather than a fixed roadmap, we adjust based on where the real friction and risk shows up in day-to-day gig work.
We keep the team lean on purpose
A smaller team means fewer layers between a problem and a fix. It also means every decision about the product is made by someone who understands the stakes for the people relying on it.
We're building for the long run
Norswix is designed as a long-term resource, not a short-lived tool. That shapes how carefully we treat changes to the platform and the guidance it provides.
